We are very pleased at how our first in-person Gala since 2019 went! We kept attendance lower which allowed us safer and more comfortable distancing for dinner – this was appreciated by many. We felt it was the perfect number of supporters spread throughout our large ground floor venue. It will take time for us to rebuild the comfort of large social gatherings in this world and this is no exception. Baby steps.
Our grateful patient, Steven Jarve shared his heartwarming comments on the exceptional care he received while being critically ill and requiring in-patient care for over a month in our hospital. The dinner by Carmen’s Catering was delectable! Our guest auctioneer, David Finnila, was expertly talented at getting the crowd to raise their hands in support of our cause. The Diva’s Through the Decades were the perfect entertainment for the evening; let’s just say that our auctioneer was a very good sport and nailed that Shania Shimmy! Take a minute and pop over to http://facebook.com/cloquetcmhfoundation/ for our live videos and many fun pics of the evening.
We have received so many compliments on the beautiful setting – guests shared how they felt they were at a glorious ball – instead of hospital café. Our secret to making that transformation is simply a FABULOUS group of employee and family volunteers to set up and decorate with an overabundance of sparkly clear lights and beautiful draping fabric in all the right places.
Whether you sponsored, donated a dessert, a live, or a silent auction item, donated money, or simply attended in support…… you had a part in making it another very meaningful and impactful fundraiser for CMH. Preliminary figures are looking like we raised just under $50k!
Thank you! YOU are the Foundation of CMH!
